In late November a bobcat was found along Route 97 near the entrance to Lincoln's New Salem State Park. The animal had, apparently, been hit by a car. Some people seemed shocked by the find but, to those of us with an interest in such things, the kill was hardly a shock.
As posted in a previous blog, I know there are larger cats roaming the area and believe it's just a matter of time before one of those winds up as roadkill...
